Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham said Tuesday during an interview with Fox News‘ Sean Hannity that Democrats will “stampede” to impeach POTUS Donald Trump in the wake of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report that ‘cleared’ the president of wrongdoing but purposely left enough bread crumbs for angry Leftists to continue pursuing.
“Number one, the idea that the Mueller report is not the final word on all things ‘Trump-Russia collusion-obstruction’ is news to me,” the South Carolina Republican said. “I thought we all trusted Mueller.
“So here’s what I think is going on in the House,” Graham continued. “There’s gonna be a stampede to impeach President Trump.”
Democrats will use “anything they can find” in Mueller’s report against Trump to “try and destroy his presidency,” Graham continued.
“Nancy Pelosi is not in charge of the Democratic Party, the radical Left is in charge, so I expect there will be impeachment proceedings against President Trump,” he said, adding that Mueller’s report is actually “vidication” of the president, since no findings of guilt were asserted.
Hannity then went through the litany of investigations against the president in just his short time in office: A nine-month Justice Department/FBI probe in which agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page even said there was nothing there; two congressional investigations — one in the House and one in the Senate — and then Mueller’s probe/non-probe.
None of them have produced a scintilla of evidence POTUS Trump did anything wrong and instead, however, have revealed elements of a deep state coup attempt against a duly elected president which was hatched during the Obama regime.
“The answer’s in on this,” Hannity said. “If [Democrats] want to do this…what are the political ramifications for not serving the American people?”
I think they’ll get punished in 2020 and I think President Trump will get reelected. I know what happened in ’98 when the American people understood what they got with Bill Clinton, they understand President Trump, warts and all, and Mueller was the guy that I was gonna let look at…the idea of Trump working with the Russians. The verdict is in. There was no collusion. There’s no obstruction of a crime that never occurred.
