As we reported yesterday and this morning, the deep state rats are beginning to turn on each other as Attorney General William Barr and staff begin probing into the origins of the “Russian collusion” and “Spygate” investigations, the surest sign yet that Barr’s efforts are real and the co-conspirators know it.
Fox News‘ Catherine Herridge reported late Wednesday that fired FBI Director James Comey told subordinates it was former CIA Director John Brennan who insisted that the bogus political opposition document known as the “Steele Dossier” be included in the intelligence community assessment (ICA) of ‘Russian interference’ in the 2016 election (to help Team Trump).
Herridge is referring to an email chain between the two former Obama administration officials in which they referred to the dossier as “crown material” in the ICA.
Former House Government Oversight Committee chairman Trey Gowdy, who has seen the likely classified email chain, commented on the discrepancy Wednesday night during an appearance on Fox News.
“Brennan and Comey, right now, the only thing they seem to share is a hatred for Donald Trump,” he said. “It’s gonna be interesting to see if they begin to turn on one another.
“I’ve seen the document, I’m not going to describe it any more than that,” Gowdy continued, adding, “Comey’s got a better argument based on what I’ve seen.”
The blame game is afoot, however.
Herridge noted that a CIA official, speaking on background only, said, “Former Director Brennan, along with [former Director of National Intelligence] James Clapper, are the ones who opposed James Comey’s recommendation that the Steele dossier be included in the intelligence report.”
The official added that it was Comey’s decision to brief then-President-elect Trump on the dossier’s contents.

Of course, the CIA has a history of covering its tracks, and both Brennan and Clapper have a history of being less than honest, let’s just say.
While Comey has certainly contributed to the Spygate and Russian collusion scandals, as well as the underlying coup attempt to oust POTUS Trump, Brennan and Clapper have long been suspected of being the mastermind behind it all.
