The U.S. attorney from Connecticut assigned by Attorney General William Barr to look into the origins of the Obama-era “Spygate” probe is reportedly examining documents generated by a “fusion cell” of officials established by former CIA Director John Brennan.
John Durham, who specializes in official corruption cases, has been looking into the origins of the Spygate probe for several weeks now. In a tweet Wednesday, investigative reporter Paul Sperry noted, “According to Main DOJ sources, Durham’s portfolio for looking into the provenance of CH includes examining docs generated by an interagency ‘fusion cell’ Brennan set up in mid-2016 on Russian election interference + pre-election briefings Steele gave to UK intelligence”…

Both Barr and Durham are said to be working with the heads of U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies to get to the bottom of how Spygate originated, who is responsible for it, who is involved, and what the operation encompassed.
CIA Director Gina Haspel, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, and FBI Director Christopher Wray are all reportedly working with the AG and Durham to discover how and why the 2016 Trump campaign was spied on by the Obama regime.
In a separate tweet, Sperry noted that the ultimate Spygate ringleader, former President Obama, was nowhere to be found — in the public realm, on Twitter, or elsewhere.
“Sshh, hear that? It’s the deafening silence of Barack Obama, who’s suddenly gone to ground as #SpyGate scandal draws nearer & calls for him to be questioned under oath grow. No US speaking events, appearances. Organizing for Action(OFA) quietly removed from his website. Fewer Tweets,” he wrote.

The further Barr and Durham dig into the origins of Spygate, the more obvious it becomes there was never any legal justification for spying on the 2016 Trump campaign.
As for Durham, he’s been on this for months already and ‘haunting‘ the FBI:
John Durham, the prosecutor tapped by Attorney General William Barr to investigate how Trump-Russia allegations emerged and spread within federal law enforcement, has already been looking into whether the FBI’s former top lawyer, James Baker, illegally leaked to reporters.
In fact, the U.S. attorney from Connecticut appears to have begun that work more than seven months ago, to judge from an underreported transcript of an October congressional interview with Baker. The Baker interview, at which Durham was not present, suggests that the prosecutor nevertheless has some people very worried.
No matter what Barr and Durham find, a large plurality of Americans will never believe them anyway. They will go to their graves believing that Russia affected the 2016 election outcome and that POTUS Trump “colluded” with Moscow to do it.
That said, if we’re to have a functioning republic 10, 20, 50, 100 years from now, Barr has to pursue the deep state actors responsible for Spygate to the fullest extent of the law. He can’t allow this to happen again to another president.
