It’s becoming more obvious by the day that despite the existence of new garbage survey claiming former VP “Sleepy” Joe Biden will whoop POTUS Donald Trump by double digits in the 2020 election, they believe the president will be reelected.
That’s why they refuse to let loose of the “Russian collusion” hoax, as evidenced by yet another worthless hearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday called by House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam “Leaker” Schiff (D-Calif.).
Fox News reports:
House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, D-Calif., sought Wednesday to keep the fire burning over Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report with the latest in a series of hearings on the Russia controversy — as Republicans voiced frustration over what they described as a “grotesque spectacle” on Capitol Hill.
Schiff called the hearing to examine what he called the “disturbing findings” of Volume One of Mueller’s report. That volume focused on allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign.
“Volume one of the report outlines a sweeping and systemic effort by Russia to interfere in the 2016 election for the benefit of Donald Trump,” Schiff declared. “It establishes that the Trump campaign welcomed the Russian interference because it expected to benefit electorally from the information stolen and released through the Russian effort.”
After claiming that most Americans believe the supposed actions between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election cycle “constitute plain evidence of collusion,” he had to admit that special counsel Robert Mueller didn’t actually find any evidence of that.
And he was never going to because it was a fabricated narrative.
“Nevertheless and contrary to the president’s often-repeated mantra and many misrepresentations of the attorney general, the special counsel reached no conclusion as to whether the Trump campaign’s many Russian contacts constituted collusion since that term is not defined in criminal law,” Schiff said to head-shaking from GOP lawmakers.
Former federal prosecutor and Fox News contributor Andrew McCarthy, called by Republicans to testify, pooh-poohed two notions: a) That Russian President Vladimir Putin is pulling Trump’s strings; and b) That he’s a friend of any American political party.
[Russian President Vladimir] Putin tends to back the candidates he believes will lose on the theory that an alienated losing faction will make it harder for the winning faction to govern,” said McCarthy.
“It is a mistake, I respectfully submit, to allow him to divide us by portraying him as on one side or another. He’s against all of us,” he continued.
And yet, thanks to Schiff and the rest of his unhinged Democrat Party, they are enabling Putin by perpetuating the collusion lie.
Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) had enough of the clown show.
After noting that Democrats’ claims of collusion had been “exposed as a hoax,” he blasted the Donkey Party in general for pretending Mueller had actually found evidence of it.
“One would think the Democrats would simply apologize and get back to lawmaking and oversight but it’s clear they couldn’t stop this grotesque spectacle even if they wanted to,” he railed.
“After years of false accusations and McCarthyite smears, the collusion hoax now defines the Democratic Party,” he said. “The hoax is what they have in place of a governing philosophy or a constructive vision for our country.”
Former U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), also a former federal prosecutor, said it best when he noted in July 2018.
“I have not seen one scintilla of evidence that this president colluded, conspired, confederated with Russia, and neither has anyone else, or you may rest assured Adam Schiff would have leaked it,” Gowdy said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”
“That’s why they’ve moved off of collusion onto obstruction of justice, which is now their current preoccupation.”
Schiff knows the collusion narrative is BS, and so do his Democrat colleagues. So that means they’re perpetuating it on purpose, for purely political reasons — which means they’re actually helping Vladimir Putin achieve his objective of sowing division within our country.
