(NationalSentinel) During former special Robert Mueller’s often painful-to-watch testimony on Wednesday before the House Judiciary Committee, Republicans asked a series of probing questions regarding his 22-month investigation into alleged “collusion” between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia and ‘obstruction of justice.’
While many Republicans asked great questions, perhaps some of the more dramatic moments came from Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).
During his five-minute question-and-answer period, Gohmert systematically led a sometimes confused Mueller through events that occurred during his probe such as when he learned that former FBI official Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were lovers and that both of them were vehemently anti-Trump.
But the most dramatic moments came at the end of Gohmert’s allotted time, when he accused the former FBI director and Justice Department official of “perpetuating injustice” against the president for dragging out an investigation long after he knew — or should have known — that POTUS Trump was not guilty of what he’d been accused of.
