(NationalSentinel) If you want to know another reason why the Democrat Left is desperately trying to paint POTUS Donald Trump and Republicans in general as blatant racists and bigots, the answer lies in data released by the Labor Department this week.
According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), ‘the 99 percent’ have gotten wage increases since the president took office in January 2017 and Republicans passed a massive tax reform bill 11 months later.
Not only that but thanks to a vibrate economy and substantial jobs growth that led to what many believe is a fully-employed labor force, Americans are receiving less taxpayer-supported government assistance.
The Wall Street Journal editorial board reported Wednesday on revised data from BEA that show healthy job growth, employment, and — most importantly — wage growth:
The revisions show that employee compensation rose 4.5% in 2017 and 5% in 2018—some $4.4 billion and $87.1 billion more than previously reported. The trend has continued into 2019, with compensation increasing $378 billion or 3.4% in the first six months alone. Wages and salaries were revised upward to 5.3% from 3.6% in May year over year. And in June wages and salaries grew at an annual rate of 5.5%, which is a rocking 4.1% after adjusting for inflation.
This is far more than the 3.1% year over year increase in average hourly earnings that the Labor Department’s jobs report showed for June. One reason for the disparity may be that employers are hiring millions of younger, lower-income workers, which may be depressing average hourly earnings as older, more highly paid workers retire.
The BEA also revised overall personal income up by 1.7% for 2017 and 2018 and transfer receipts down 0.7%. In sum, Americans are earning more and relying less on government. Personal savings estimates were also increased by $217 billion for the last two years and are now $1.3 trillion, which means Americans are socking away more of their earnings.
Do you recall during the latter Obama years when Democrats were arguing that “secular stagnation” was the reason why worker wages weren’t growing? Of course, it had nothing to do with his “part-time economy” caused in no small part by forcing Obamacare on all of us or implementing truckloads of new regulations, all of which stifle economic and business expansion and, thus, kill job and wage growth.
In fact, Obama’s economy the last couple of years, as the WSJ noted, “barely skirted recession.”
But here’s something else contained in the BEA data that likely has the Left petrified: Job and wage growth has occurred in all demographics and across all ethnic groups.
“…Employee compensation has increased by $150 billion more in the first six months of 2019 than all of 2016. Compensation increased 42% more during the first two years of the Trump Presidency than in 2015 and 2016. This refutes the claim by liberals that the economy has merely continued on the same trajectory since 2017 as it was before,” the paper said.
“Corporate after-tax profits increased by about $220 billion between 2016 and 2018 while employee compensation swelled nearly $1 trillion. Corporate profits declined 2.9% in the first quarter of 2019 even as wages grew at an annual rate of 10.1%. This sure sounds like an economy that is benefiting the 99%,” the board continued.
Fewer Americans dependent on government. More Americans earning more money, across all demographics. And the president pointing out how Democrat-run cities are decrepit and failing.
All of these factors are causing deep anxiety within the Democrat Party. Now, what happens if minorities begin supporting the president as opposed to continuing to waste their votes on Democrats whose economic policies have done nothing for them compared to those of the president.
It’s already trending that way.
About a year ago we reported on a Rassmussen survey that showed POTUS Trump’s approval rating among black voters at 29 percent, far higher than any previous Republican president in modern history:
Today’s @realDonaldTrump approval ratings among black voters: 29%

This came amid historically low black unemployment, which continues to be at historic lows.
Also a year ago, a separate survey found that the president’s support among Hispanics had risen to about 39 percent.
As Fox News host Laura Ingraham noted in November, Democrats have to demonize POTUS Trump as a racist and a bigot because that’s the only ‘argument’ they have to counter the good his policies are doing for all Americans, including minorities.
“The better Donald Trump does among African-American voters, the more race-obsessed the Democrats and their shameless media enablers become,” Ingraham said, Lifezette reports. “The reason again for this Leftist race-baiting [is] Trump’s policies are working for African-Americans and the results are now beginning to come in.”
“Democrats sense it. They’re losing their grip on the black community,” Ingraham added. “Black unemployment is down, black entrepreneurism is up and the polls are moving.”
Fact: If a solid 35-40 percent of black and Hispanic voters defect to POTUS Trump and embrace Republican economic policies that they have seen firsthand and know aren’t “racist” and “bigoted,” the Democrat Party will become a permanent minority both in national politics and on the local level.
Our eyes — and our pocketbooks — are stronger indicators of truth than what a panicked Democrat congressman or distrusted Democrat-aligned cable news host says.
