(TNS) You may not agree with certain politicians or their party in general, but that doesn’t give you the right to assault someone, and a Florida woman has learned that the hard way.

Amanda Kondrat’yev, the woman who pleaded guilty to dousing Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) with a red slushie recently because of his pro-Second Amendment stance and backing by the NRA has been sentenced to 15 days in federal prison.
Notice how the Garbage Party’s propaganda media reports this, though. Witness Newsweek, which seemed offended by the fact that Gaetz ‘complained’ about being assaulted by a Left-wing lunatic.

Why shouldn’t he have “complained” about it, for crying out loud? The woman assaulted him. We’re pretty sure if this had happened to any garden variety Democrat, Newsweek and the rest of the “mainstream” media would have an entirely different take on it.

In any event, this needed to happen. Fifteen days in the clink, one year of probation, and a $500 fine might not seem like much but it’s appropriate for the level of the attack, one, and two, Kondrat’yev didn’t get away with her incivility.
Now, the right thing for the rest of the Democrat Party to do would be to use this case as a teachable moment and start dialing back their rhetoric (Maxine Waters, we’re looking at you).
But of course, they won’t learn. Per Newsweek, this is what Kondrat’yev’s attorney had to say.
For him to talk about a violent crime, it’s not as violent as a potential DUI is to drivers on the road [a slam on Gaetz’s DUI]. It’s not as much of a threat to our national security as storming a security hearing with a cellphone in a room that doesn’t allow cellphones [except that group of Republicans never actually crashed a secure hearing room]. It doesn’t jeopardize our rule of law as much as intimidating witnesses [which Gaetz hasn’t done], and it’s not as severe as threatening to unleash violent supporters if you don’t get what you want [which Democrats have done].”
