Swamp drain: Trump rescinds Treasury nom of federal prosecutor accused of letting alleged leaker of Carter Page FISA warrant skate

As usual, the mainstream media has completely whiffed on the real story

By Jon Dougherty

(TNS) Multiple mainstream news outlets reported Wednesday that President Trump has rescinded the nomination of former U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu to be an undersecretary at the Treasury Department, but there is much more to that story than what they’re saying.

The tone of the reporting is typically critical and couched in language implying that Trump is working with Attorney General William Barr on some backdoor arrangement to “politicize” the Justice Department — a sick joke, to be sure, since that’s precisely what Barack Obama did with his Justice Department.

In any event, NBC News noted:

The U.S. attorney who had presided over an inconclusive criminal investigation into former acting FBI director Andrew McCabe was abruptly removed from the job last month in one of several recent moves by Attorney General William Barr to take control of legal matters of personal interest to President Donald Trump, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.

A person familiar with the matter confirmed to NBC News that Trump has rescinded the nomination of Jessie Liu, who had been the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., for a job as an undersecretary at the Treasury Department.

Liu also supervised the case against Trump associate Roger Stone. On Tuesday, all four line prosecutors withdrew from the case — and one quit the Justice Department altogether — after Barr and his top aides intervened to reverse a stiff sentencing recommendation of up to nine years in prison that the line prosecutors had filed with the court Monday. (Liu left before the sentencing recommendation was made.)

CNN is reporting much the same thing, claiming that the decisions by Trump and Barr have to do with Liu’s ‘association’ and ‘ties’ to the McCabe and Stone cases:

While head of the US Attorney’s Office in Washington, Liu inherited many of the major ongoing cases from Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation and was also handling the politically charged case of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, a frequent target of Trump’s ire who is also a CNN contributor.

As Trump and administration officials weighed pulling Liu’s nomination to serve as the Treasury Department’s under secretary for terrorism and financial crimes, a central factor in the talks was how she had run the US Attorney’s Office. The problem wasn’t that she necessarily did anything wrong, one person familiar with the thinking said, but that she didn’t do more to get involved in those cases.

Initially it wasn’t clear that Liu’s nomination was pulled due to the handling of the politically sensitive cases, but CNN has now confirmed it was. Trump made the final decision to pull the nomination two days before her scheduled confirmation hearing.

And so on.

A brief history regarding McCabe’s case. Earlier reporting by the National Review noted that Liu actually recommended that the former FBI deputy director be charged for lying to federal investigators about his actions related to his role in the ‘Spygate’ affair.

And speaking of Spygate, this is where it gets interesting regarding Liu.

Yes, Trump’s and Barr’s decisions have a lot to do with Liu’s ‘handling of politically sensitive cases,’ just not those involving Stone (the Democrats’ outrage of the moment) and McCabe. As The Conservative Treehouse pointed out in detail on Tuesday, what sank Liu’s nomination goes much deeper: There is evidence suggesting that Liu may have known the Justice Department has evidence that former Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Director James Wolfe (remember him?) leaked the FISA application that was used against Carter Page, once a member of the 2016 Trump campaign.

Wolfe is believed to have leaked the application to a reporter at The New York Times he was sleeping with, as POLITICO reported:

The veteran Senate staffer was involved in serving Page with a subpoena and with making arrangements for him to testify to the committee. While the FBI clearly zeroed in on Wolfe as a suspect for disclosures of classified information about Page, the fact that he was interacting with the Senate panel was not itself classified and investigators did not establish that Wolfe disclosed classified information to anyone.

Tuesday evening, Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs did an expose on this ultimate deep state operation, as The Conservative Treehouse noted:

In a tremendous exposé on Fox Business with Lou Dobbs, the intrepid bringer of sunlight outlined how the Senate Intelligence Committee Security Director James Wolfe leaked the FISA application used against Carter Page and how DC U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu dropped all charges related to the leak and instead only charged Wolfe with one count of lying to FBI investigators

Watch:

So, as usual, the mainstream media has completely whiffed on the real story, which is this: Trump and Barr are continuing to make progress in draining the swamp.

Tempo seems to picking up a beat. I don’t think that 16 year plan to destroy America is working out too well for the NWO satanists.

On the smollet case, seems like other political operatives were planning to have the smollet case incite racial violence. Based upon the slew of hate hoaxes, it should be such a stretch of the imagination to conceive false flag mass shootings or mass casualty events wouldn’t be used to grab guns, invade privacy, and worse!

Full disclosure is what is needed.

Liu is one of the conspirators. She deserved this. But CTH tries to play detective while ignoring the bigger points. If the Senate leaked something, then how about repercussions in the senate? The DOJ committed many crimes, how about accountability for those? CTH tries to confuse the reader.

Keep flushing. Get their asses out of Washington.
Problem is, get rid of one and two more pop up. The Swamp never sleeps. So, patriots must work overtime to gain ground.
